Ever Want to Carry Sriracha Around in Your Pocket? Now You Can...

It's a sad week for ketchup.

Sriracha producer Huy Fong has announced it will release the first-ever single-serve packets of its hot sauce—the demonically addictive substance that causes widespread panic whenever supplies run low. According to Food Porn, the Kosher packets won't turn up in restaurants for months; but Sriracha2Go, a website specializing in Sriracha novelty items like "hot socks," will be selling them (50 for $14.99 or 200 for $34.99), potentially as soon as this week. Now all you'll have to do is keep a stash in your purse or backpack, and banish those bland-food emergencies forever. The only question is: What took so long?
Meanwhile, that's not the only news buzzing in the land of Sriracha; trade magazineFood Processing reports that Huy Fong has also launched a new canned product, Sriracha Diced Tomatoes and Red Chilies.
